Department of Physics
The Department of Physics started in the year 2013, at Lumami Campus, with two regular teaching staff at the level of assistant professor. From the academic year 2014-15, the department started to offer M.Sc. (Physics) and Ph.D. in Physics with different areas of specialization viz. Condensed Matter Physics, Multiferroics, Magnetism, Spectroscopy, Energy materials, Luminescent materials and Abinitio methods. Research papers are regularly published from the department in various reputed journals at national and international level. The intake capacity is 15 at the PG level, and 2 for Ph.D.
