Department of Environmental Science

The Department of Environmental Science was established in the year 2016 and the first batch of M.Sc. students graduated in the year 2018. The department at presents offers a 2-year M.Sc. course spread out through 4 semesters, with an intake capacity of 10 (Ten) students. The department also offers Ph.D. in various thrust areas of research and environmental issues. The Department of Environmental Science, NU, envisage to establish itself as one of the best departments in India for research and teaching in the field of Environmental Science. It also aims to produce skilled and employable human resources in the field of Environmental Science and allied disciplines. The department aims to carry out state-of-art research in the contemporary environmental issues with a regional approach contributing towards global solutions.
